Aluminium high pressure fitting intended for PCP refilling applications;
This piece in particular is a male quick coupler to female 1/8" BSP fitting, which is commonly used in conjunction w/ a filling probe that has no quick connector / means to attach tool-free to the high pressure hose, where the filling probe would otherwise need to be attached directly onto the line. This would of course, narrow your hose' applicability down to being a utility only to filling a PCP rifle compatible w/ that filling probe. Otherwise, you'd need to detach and attach your probe each time to utilize the hose otherwise which, depending on your probe's composition, may leave tool marks on the hex drive.
Using thread tape in conjunction with this piece is not advised when combining it w/ a filling probe. a Dowty washer is usually recommended and slips onto the threading tool-free. Use the appropriate two spanners to combine the two parts and sandwhich the dowty washer in. However, do note that a small ring shaped PTFE white seal comes included, which will create the airtight seal.
This part is particularly recommended for use in conjunction w/ HATSAN PCP rifles. As the male quick coupler bit is aluminium, it won't get marked by the ball bearings on the female quick coupler as fast and moreover, the advantage to a loose bit like this is its replaceability.
