2000a.d. South African R5 (five Rand) coin
Depicting President Nelson Mandela
This is an excellent specimen of this coin and is still in extremely good condition despite having been in circulation. It still possesses a high mirror like sheen and has never been polished. There are some bag marks on the surface, visible on close inspection.
This would be a fine addition to any serious collection and not to mention quite a conversation piece!
A recent proof example of this coin was sold for an astonishing R135 000($ 17 000) - wow! But don't take my word for it, go check it out at www.sacoin.co.za/coin_topic11.html
Truly this is an investment opportunity and not just a collectors item!
The value of these coins have skyrocketed over the last three years and this is an amazing opportunity to get in on the action as I am beginning this auction at only R 35, so bid now to make sure this item is yours!
For the sake of clarity I repeat that this coin was in circulation but is still in very good condition in spite of that. There are some very minor bag marks as would be expected and still posesses a high mirror like sheen.
The coin has been in a private collection for the past seven years(it was struck in 2000) and will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve specially designed for coins.
