This is an all-metal 4-4-0 Old Timer Weston Locomotive (Mod no:3960) and tender (Mod no:3220) on auction for restoration. The electric motor is situated in the tender and is driven by a flexible connection to the loco’s gearbox that drives the main wheels. It was track-tested, run in forward and reverse (sluggish) due to long storage. Need a good service and lubrication. The paintwork needs attention (see photos). The previous owner fixed a chip on the loco’s roof (see photos). The tender rear bogie was repaired. No visible metal deterioration (flaking) can be seen on the items.
