The author describes the Trekkers, their courage and resilience and how they overcame enormous odds in their search for a new home. Originally published in Afrikaans in 1943 as Die Pioniertrekke na Gazaland. This is the first publication of the author's own English translation in October 1957. Pages 1-170. Nine photographs of some of the Trekkers. Appendix 1-10 background information including the names of Trekkers who arrived in Gazaland. Illustrated with dramatic scene of a wagon stuck in a drift.
