The story of people who trekked in the 1890s from Natal, Transvaal, OFS and the Cape to secure Eastern Rhodesia (Gazaland) from Portuguese occupation. Initiated by Dunbar and Tom Moodie, the migration included many Boer families in search of good farm land. The author describes the Trekkers, their courage and resilience and how they overcame enormous odds in their search for a new home.
