ALTHOUGH LISTED AS VINTAGE, THIS RARE ITEM OF SILVER PLATED CUTLERY MANUFACTURED BY MAPPIN & WEBB, COULD POSSIBLY BE OLDER SINCE THE MARK DOES NOT INCLUDE THE "Ltd" (After 1902), NEITHER DOES IT DISPLAY THE WORDS "ENGLAND" OR "MADE IN ENGLAND" WHICH WERE USED AFTER 1921.

THE ITEM IS A LARGE SILVER PLATED SERVER FORK DESIGNED WITH THE FIDDLE AND CLASSICAL SHELL HANDLE DESIGN WHICH IS ALSO SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS "TUDOR" THE SERVER FORK HAS AN ETCHED BLANK CREST (SHIELD) BENEATH THE PRONGS WITH A LEAF SCROLL PATTERNING FRAMING IT

STAMPS/MARKS ETC : THE FORK IS HANDLE STAMPED - "MAPPIN & WEBB, S&L, EP"

CONDITION : THE ITEM IS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO DAMAGES, RUST ETC AND IS NOT BENT. ONLY MILD PATINA
