This lovely brass and marble lamp base was made in Italy. Loads of detail, with big, fat teardrop beads with a nice mother-of-pearl sheen. I replaced the threaded rod as it was broken. I only tightened the lug nuts by hand. I would suggest replacing the lamp fitting which holds the globe, and then tightening all nuts and bolts properly. Possibly also replace the wire rings which hold the beads – some of the existing ones are a bit out of shape and don’t hold the beads securely anymore. The only damage is some tarnish to the top “bowl” of the lamp, as shown in one of the photos below. Measures 54cm in length.
