Margaret Dovaston was a quintessentially British artist born in 1884 and passed away in 1955. She gained recognition as a painter at the turn of the 20th century, studying at the Ealing Art School and Royal Academy School. By 1905, she was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists. Her paintings and prints primarily focused on British interior design, clothing, and incredibly detailed historic scenes and period costumes.
