MARKED DOLL NO 117 K STAR OF DAVID R SIMON & HALBIG BISQUE?? DOLL READ INTERESTING!!!

Her dress is a frilly and a white colour. Will try and update with

a close up of her pout! Interesting piece. From what I can gather

on her Simon and Halbig was founded in 1839 and began making

dolls in 1869 to 1920 in Germany. In 1920 Simon & Halbig was

bought by Kammer & Reinhardt (hence the K star R) who

continued to make dolls to 1932. Simon & Halbig were known

for fine bisque doll heads and innovation in the doll indurstry. They

supplied to other doll manufacturers.So..... does this date this doll's head

to between 1920 and 1932??.  Doll collectors and experts please

share you knowledge!!! She is marked behind her head under the

hair with what is the following Looks like WSP??? Then K * R the

under that is Simon and Halbig, then 117 then it appears to be in

black ink SL and then 19 illigible, illigible.

Her condition appears good. Her body is cloth. Between her

shoulder in the bisque? says England. Measures height

approximately 40cm (without stand)

Her one stocking is different to the other
