You guys must think I have lost it. Fact is, there are many ways to do this hobby. For some, R50 wagons are what they can afford, and I have seen absolutely spectacular layouts, with cheap rolling stock, and it is OK. Then there are the connoiseurs(<- I cant even spell that), where things have to be special. These guys go balls-out. Money is not a problem, and these are the guys that normally have huge vitrines, with the type of loco I have here, right in the foreground.
That is also OK, but the day-to-day guys like me, get de moer in, because the stuff is expensive. I need to cater for everybody.
But here is why. This locomotive is a one time series. Painted in photo grey, it is more sought after, and more rare than any other version, the camo one included. Go check the prizes anywhere in Europe, and see for yourself. It is a collectors piece, and for that moet jy daai bruin note, that is a bit bigger than a 20, uitruk. It is not the same color as the grey kriegsloks.
Those of you that have been here, and saw my layout, would know that I am quite serious about this hobby. This too will run it's time, and go into my collection, because I havent got it. One chance.
It is MFX with full sound. The fans on the condensor can be switched on and off digitally from the controller. It is brand new. More sought after than the BigBoy, because it will never be repeated in this livery.
So, in short, if this is out of your price range, just sit back and enjoy the pictures. It is stunning.
Postage will be R100 in the RSA or come fetch it in Benoni.
