The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder, controlled, high-efficiency Softdrive Sine propulsion, and a sound generator with many functions. It has a compact design, maintenance-free motor in the locomotive's boiler. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. The headlights and other lighting are maintenance-free, warm white LED's. The headlights and smoke generator contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The tender is constructed of metal. There is a permanent close coupling between the locomotive and the tender and an NEM pocket with a close coupler on the end of the tender. Piston rod protection tubes that can be installed on the locomotive are included.
