I think we should make peace with the fact that we are going to pay dearly for high end locomotives since the rand went for a ball of horsecrap. However, when they look like this, it will only be a pleasure. I sug a bit when I have to fork out R4K for a fairly simple locomotive like a BR94.5 or a BR78 for that matter. Because, pretty as they are, when they go down the rack, I have caught myself thinking that it is hard to justify that premium over a cheapy R1.8K BR74. The difference is just too small. But then, like the blue BR05 and even the BR10, when we are talking large numbers of moolah, and they look like they do...... I will pay the price thank you very much. LOOK at this loco! It is a thing of beauty. You cannot have a BMW M5 for 520i money. This train screams expensive. It is sublime. I will let the pictures speak.
