Marklin HO 60657 new Mobile Station 2.

 Probably the first ones in the country. Apart from an updated databank and some software changes it is exactly the same as the old one. But as these things go, one always notices something different. I have used one on my test track the last week... and unlike the old one where you sometimes get a conflict when running an address manually and the same address found by the controller, the new one seems to be unflustered. It just runs both of them with the loaded features. And it might just be in my head, but the response to commands seems to be quicker.

So, this kit is plug and play. It comes out the starterset so you will get the 36VA transformer, the new 60116 connector box and the controller. Woep.... into the wall with the transformer, plug the controller into the box and the transformer too, attach the two little wires to positive and negative of your track, and off you go. I will bubblewrap it to perfection and send it off. Otherwise, you will pay R1400 just for a box. This makes so much more sense.

It works brilliantly with the DCC systems as well. I still maintain that this little controller is the best value for money when it comes to wired systems. Yeah, you cant walk around with the thing, but hell, unless you are on a club layout, why would you want to in any case? And its plus point is, it can run over 300 magnetic accessories but for me, tuning and fiddling with locos all the time, its programming capabilities are fantastic. All CV's and its ability to find an address is two button affairs. Quick and easy.

Very simple machine to operate. Pushes 1.9 amp to the tracks, so ideal for smaller layouts. At the money, only slightly more than the old one..... exceptional value.
