There is a story here. This little locomotive was lying dusty and neglected in a cupboard with a blown decoder and all sorts of stuff wrong with it. I got it for about the startprice I am asking. I grabbed it, because these are high value locomotives. At least R3K for this, even fitted with a Delta decoder. It was in such a sad state, that I just put it in the vitrine, and it stood there for about 3 months. My train friend has good hands. He eyed it and at last I gave in and sommer gave it to him for mahalla.
Week later I go visit, and this little train is singing around his layout. Smooth and powerful, and hell, he even made a plan with a missing lantern and got one off a Roco BR58 that worked perfectly. You will notice it is the one at the top on the tender. He fitted a DCC decoder from ESU and this is where you need to be careful before you bid. It is a Marklin 3 rail locomotive. So, if you want to run this with that DCC decoder, you would need either the new 60653 Marklin Mobile Station or the new Marklin Central Station 2. 60213/4/5, or an older 60212 Central Station 1 with the ESU upgrade to CS1 reloaded. Make sure you have the right controller. ESU ECOS will also do the trick.
Right, so it has a weathering job someone did in Germany, some paint of on the cab (easily fixed)and it has a proper decoder that is much better than the Delta version. It has no box though, but I will pack her with care. Koert fitted an engineer in the cab, and this loco is ready to run. I think it is worth about R2K to me, so lets see where this goes. I would hate to take a bath on a loco that was so lovingly restored. She is pretty.
