Minichamps Limited Edition model of the 1974 Championship winning McLaren M23 driven by Emerson Fittipaldi. 1 of 648 pieces.
Fittipaldi brought Marlboro sponsorship to McLaren and this M23 was the first Marlboro-McLaren - a legendary partnership that lasted until 1996.
The M23 followed the Lotus 72 lead with a wedge profile. Fittipaldi had won the championship in 1972 with the Lotus and used his experience to turn the M23 into a winning car. The M23 won again in 1976 with Hunt - a durable and competitive design over 4 seasons.
A classic F1 design - especially with its tallest airbox in 1974/75, sadly these airboxes were outlawed during 1975. This model represents the M23 at the 1975 South African Grand Prix with Fittipaldi carrying Number 1 the first race of the season.
Upgraded to full Marlboro livery - not standard. Removable bodywork to reveal the engine and cockpit.
In as-new condition and from my private collection. Supplied with its original box also perfect.
Note:- Will be dispatched on 7 Dec when I return.
