This is a great product for short holidays/weekends away.  These are designed so that you can go away for one or two days and you can be assured your pet will have food when required. The double feeder has 2 separate timers that can be set up to 24hrs apart so you will be able to feed for 2 days or two feeds in a 24hr period. The flap will pop up on scheduled time. It does require batteries. The automatic feeders come with a gel pack that you may freeze and slot in below the bowl should you feed wet foods to your pet. This is a great way to go away for a weekend and not have the hassle and fuss of trying to find someone to feed your beloved animal. This is only for cats & miniature/small breed dogs. It does come with 2x1.5V AA Batteries.
