On offer another CRAZY BARGAIN on the R1 N/R auction.  This marvelous find from one of Zimbabwe's (born in South Africa but Zimbabwean by choice) most respected artists, an original watercolour, signed and dated (89), quality framed behind glass and a book on the artist.  The painting depicting a nature scene is large, measuring 93x78cm (with frame) and 59x42cm (painting only), it is double mounted, framed and all behind glass.  In lovely condition with no damage to report. The book "A gathered Radiance" by Penelope Kirkman which covers most aspects of his life and philosophy regarding art, accompanies this painting as well as a book review (newspaper clipping) on the book. 

Info on the artist: Zimbabwe's most prolific and respected artist, often acclaimed as a worthy successor to Robert Paul. He worked in a variety of mediums and his subject matter ranged from abstract, through still-life and portraiture to landscapes, but he is esteemed especially for his remarkable watercolours.

He has works in the Permanent and Overseas Collection of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe - which held a retrospective of his work in May, 2007.
