Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Wii

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 for the Wii is a four-player cooperative action RPG (role-playing game) that follows a storyline inspired by the Marvel Comics "Secret War" and "Civil War" events. Players create a four-superhero team from a roster of over 24 characters and fight through a mission-driven campaign. 

Core Gameplay

• Perspective and Combat: The game uses an isometric camera perspective and focuses on fast-paced, beat-'em-up combat. Basic attacks use button presses, while special attacks utilize the Wii's motion controls by swinging the Wii remote.
• Fusion Powers: A core gameplay mechanic is the "Fusion" system, allowing two characters to combine their unique abilities for powerful, devastating attacks. There are over 250 unique fusion combinations in the game.
• Environmental Interaction: Players can interact with and demolish elements in the environment, such as picking up and launching crushed cars or lampposts at enemies.
• Progression: Characters gain experience, level up, and their abilities can be improved through skill trees. 

Story and Choices

The plot is centered on the ideological split within the superhero community over the Superhuman Registration Act. Players must choose to side with either Iron Man's pro-registration forces or Captain America's anti-registration rebels, which influences the enemies battled and missions accomplished. 

Wii-Specific Features and Differences

The Wii version was developed by n-Space and differs from the PS3/Xbox 360 versions in several ways: 

• Unique Controls: It makes extensive use of the Wii Remote for combat and includes pointer-based mini-games, such as hacking.
• Character Roster: The game features specific characters unique to the Wii version (including Blade, Psylocke, and Cyclops as playable characters).
• Graphics and Content: The graphics are considered more basic than the PS3/Xbox 360 versions, with some blocky environments. It lacks alternate costumes and the in-depth dialogue found in other versions.
• Multiplayer: The Wii edition supports up to four players for local co-op play, but does not feature online multiplayer. It includes a "B.R.A.G." (Broadcast Realtime Accomplishment Gloating) system to share scores with Wii friends via WiiConnect24.
