Description
Quadruple bill of superhero action adventures starring Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie as Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson.
In 'Captain America: The First Avenger' (2011) Steve Rogers is determined to serve his country despite being rejected mutiple times by the U.S. Army because of his poor health and small build.
Impressed with his resolve, Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci) recruits him for an experimental programme which successfully transforms him into the super-soldier Captain America. Meanwhile, high-ranking Nazi and Hydra leader Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving) seeks to harness the powers of a mysterious artefact called the Tesseract to eliminate all those who oppose him.
Rogers teams up with his best friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and leads his new unit in the fight against Schmidt but he proves to be a formidable foe.
'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (2014) is set two years after the events of 'The Avengers' (2012) and sees Rogers working for S.H.I.E.L.D. while he continues to try to adjust to modern society.
When he discovers that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated by Hydra, he joins forces with Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and former soldier Sam Wilson to uncover the extent of the corruption and defeat a powerful Hydra assassin called the Winter Soldier (Stan).
In 'Captain America: Civil War' (2016), following the events of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' (2015), the United Nations seek to oversee and control the activity of the Avengers, which causes a deep divide within the team of superheroes.
The Avengers are split into two opposing factions headed by Captain America (Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), when a new threat to the safety of the world emerges. Will the Avengers be able to defeat their common enemy and repair the schism between them?
Finally, in 'Captain America: Brave New World' (2025), Sam Wilson assumes the mantle of Captain America. When an attempt is made to assassinate President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), Wilson uncovers evidence of a conspiracy to sow discord and division between America and Japan.
As he attempts to identify who is pulling the strings and works to prevent a war, a dangerous secret involving Ross is exposed.
