On offer this beautiful Floral pastel by artist Mary Anne Clark, signed in the lower right corner.  Beautifully done and with great skill is a bunch of flowers in pale colours against a darker background, creating an almost translucent effect.  The painting in very good condition with no damage to report.  It is framed in a wooden frame, behind glass.  It measures 68.5x52cm (with frame) and 60x44.5cm (pastel only).  A bit of pastel sediment on the inside of the glass, but this can be sorted with a good wipe, when taken out of the frame. Still lovely as is. 

Clark was born in 1947 in England.  She attended Barnet College of Art and became an art teacher.  In the 60's she took on a musical career with a well known band which took her over Europe while under contract to Decca Records.  After settling in Hertforshire, she returned to art.  She became a pupil of well known artist William Mason and his influence is clearly visible in her paintings.  Mary's style concentrates on quality of light and its influence and effects on nature.
