Matchbox Lesney 19c Aston Martin DBR5

The Aston Martin DBR5 was added to the range in 1962 and was deleted in 1965. Interestingly the car on which it was based was a complete failure and was the cause of Aston Martin pulling out of Formula 1 racing. Only two cars were made in 1960 and scrapped in 1961, a year before Matchbox released the model.

The Matchbox car is always metallic green with wire wheels and can have a white or grey driver figure. The racing number can be 3, 5, 19, 41 or 52
