Matchbox Lesney 7C FORD REFUSE TRUCK

Superfast Wheels

The Ford D1000 refuse lorry was only ever made in one colour, that is orange cab with a grey plastic refuse container and silver painted metal loader although shades of orange and grey can differ. It was one of those models that spanned the introduction of Superfast wheels, but remained otherwise unchanged when the wheels were updated. I really like this one - it is a well designed and well executed item.

The Refuse truck (7c) was introduced in 1967. In 1970 it was changed to Superfast wheels and it was deleted in 1972
