MAVERICK RIFLE BUTTSTOCK HOLDER - HUNTING CALIBER

Useful caddy to carry spare cartridges with, specifically 8x as illustrated. Here you can breechload the rounds directly instead of relying on a magazine, or if your rifle does not magazine load / loads only via a stripper clip, then you can utilize this method of carrying ammunition, to handload your cartridges into the integrated magazine, such as on the Lee-Enfield SMLE MK III.

This attaches to the buttstock of the rifle as illustrated and should accomodate both small -and big bore cartridges. The pockets particularly are about 7.8mm when unstretched, which equates to about .307", however, remember that it is the bullet casing that will have to be sleeved in here, not the bullet head. These pockets are made from a stretchy material and because it is synthetic, it will not mould over.

Its a handy addition to your rifle to have along for the hunt and attaches by means of velcro coupling on the other side of the buttstock. The adjustability of this attachment is limited - the velcro strips respectively, male and female, are 40mm wide. That should more or less indicate how much adjustability there is available on this attachment, for example. to compensate for the presence of a raised comb.

Please also note that this attachment does not add much layering onto your comb - the material is about 1 mm thick.

The edging here is webbing and covers the all the edges, so the material won't fray out, etc. The workmanship on these products also, is professional w/ a neat, tidy and centered / proportional finish.

This certainly is nifty as a budget attachment to your vintage loader rifle. Its not the most tactical way of keeping cartridges on hand to single-load, as for modern synthetic stock rifles, you do get aluminium / hard polymer retainers that offers a considerably stiffer purchase on your rounds, but for the everyday bench shooter / seasonal huntsman, this is perfect.
