If you are looking for a bright red, 4 digit display kit for use in a volt meter, current meter, temperature gauge, humidity meter or even a simple digital clock then this kit is exactly what you need. It contains all the components needed to build a fully functioning SPI interfaced 4 digit display requiring just four microcontroller pins to operate. The kit is also ideal for honing your soldering skills and with the easy to follow step by step instructions the board can be assembled in less than 2 hours. The assembled board is interfaced to a PIC, AVR, ARM or 8051 microcontroller through SPI. A quick search for MAX7219 interfaced to Arduino in Google will reveal several Arduino sketches and tutorials.
