USB Interface, Dual USB Switch, 4 V, 5.5 V, µMAX, 10 PinsProduct OverviewThe MAX1823BEUB+ is a dual USB switch with fault blanking and auto-reset in 10pin µMAX package. The dual, current-limited switch with auto-reset specificallyfor USB applications. The auto-reset feature latches the switch off if theoutput is shorted, saving system power. The switch reactivates when the shortcircuit is removed. Each channel has supply of 720mA and meets USBspecifications. Low quiescent supply current (50µA) and standby current (3µA)conserve battery power in portable applications. The MAX1823 has multiple safetyfeatures to ensure that the USB port is protected. Built-in thermal-overloadprotection limits power dissipation and junction temperature. Accurate internalcurrent-limiting circuitry protects the input supply against both overload andshort circuit conditions.
