Product OverviewThe MAX13081EESA+ is a ±15KV ESD protected, fail-safe, hot swap, +5V RS485/RS422transceiver in 8 pin NSOIC package. The fail-safe circuitry in this devicefeatures a logic high receiver output when receiver input is open or shorted.The receiver outputs a logic high if all transmitters on a terminated bus aredisabled (high impedance) and a hot swap capability to eliminate falsetransitions on the bus during power-up or hot insertion. This device has reducedslew rate drivers that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperlyterminated cables allowing error free data transmission up to 250Kbps.
