Product OverviewThe MAX13485EESA+T is a half-duplex RS485/RS422 transceiver in 8 pin NSOICpackage. This is a ±15KV ESD-protected RS485 transceiver features one driver andone receiver. Device has fail-safe circuitry and logic-high receiver output whenreceiver inputs are open or shorted. The receiver outputs logic high if alltransmitters on a terminated bus are disabled (high impedance). It includes ahot-swap capability to eliminate false transitions on the bus during power-up orlive-insertion. Transceiver features reduced slew-rate drivers that minimize EMIand reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, it allowserror-free transmission up to 500Kbps.
