Product OverviewThe MAX14789EGSA+ is a full-duplex, ±35kV ESD protected, RS 485 transceiver forhigh speed communication in 8 pin NSOIC package. It is designed for robustcommunication in harsh industrial environments. Device features ±35kV ESDprotection on the RS 485 pins and operate from a 3V to 5.5V supply with a 4mAno-load supply current (max). It gives a logic high receiver output when eitherthe receiver inputs are shorted or open, or when they are connected to aterminated transmission line with all drivers disabled.
