Product OverviewThe MAX220CWE+T from Maxim Integrated Products is a +5V powered multichannelRS232 driver/receiver in 16 pin WSOIC package. This ultra low power device isintended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. It isparticularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. The MAX220has four sections such as dual charge pump DC to DC voltage converters, RS232drivers, RS232 receivers and receiver/transmitter enable control inputs. Theintegrated charge pump circuitry eliminates the need for bipolar ±12V supply andenables single supply operation from +5V supply.
