Product OverviewThe MAX3041CUE+T from Maxim Integrated Products is a ±10KV ESD protected, quad5V RS485/RS422 transmitter in 16 pin TSSOP package. It is designed for digitaldata transmission over twisted pair balanced lines. It is slew rate limitedtransmitter that minimizes EMI and reduces reflections caused by improperlyterminated cables thus allowing error free transmission. This device with hotswap capability eliminates false transitions on the data cable during power-upor hot insertion. It offers optimum performance when used with the MAX3093E orMAX3095 5V quad differential line receivers or MAX3094E/MAX3096 3V quaddifferential line receivers. The device is ESD protected pin compatible, lowpower upgrades to the industry standard SN75174 and DS26LS31C.
