The device features fail-safe circuitry which has a logic highreceiver output when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. This means thatthe receiver output will be logic high if all transmitters on a terminated busare disabled (high impedance). MAX3083EESD+T offers higher driver output slewrate limits allowing transmit speeds up to 500Kbps. The transmitter output andreceiver input is protected by ±15KV using human body model with enhanced ESDprotection. This transceiver typically draws 375µA of supply current whenunloaded or when fully loaded with the drivers disabled.
