Product OverviewThe MAX3085CSA+T from Maxim Integrated Products is a fail-safe, slew ratelimited RS485/RS422 transceiver in 8 pin NSOIC package. This high speedtransceiver for RS485/RS422 communication contains one driver and one receiver.The fail-safe circuitry in this device features a logic high receiver outputwhen receiver inputs are open or shorted, it means that the receiver output willbe a logic high if all transmitters on a terminated bus are disabled (highimpedance). This device offer higher driver output slew rate limits allowingtransmit speed up to 500Kbps. It typically draws 375µA of supply current whenunloaded or when fully loaded with the drivers disabled. It has a 1/8 unit loadreceiver input impedance that allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus.
