Product OverviewThe MAX3088EESA+ is a ±15KVESD protected, fail-safe, high speed RS485/RS422transceiver in 8 pin NSOIC package. It contains one driver and one receiver. Thedevice features fail-safe circuitry which has a logic high receiver output whenthe receiver inputs are open or shorted. This means that the receiver outputwill be logic high if all transmitters on a terminated bus are disabled (highimpedance). MAX3088EESA+ driver slew rate is not limited, making transmit speedsup to 10Mbps. The transmitter output and receiver input is protected by ±15KVusing human body model with enhanced ESD protection. This transceiver typicallydraws 375µA of supply current when unloaded or when fully loaded with thedrivers disabled.
