Product OverviewThe MAX3160CAP+T is a +3V to +5.5V, 1µA, RS232/RS485/422 multiprotocoltransceiver in 20 pin SSOP package. It is pin programmable as2transmitter/2receiver RS232 interface or a single (half/full duplex) RS485/422transceiver. This device includes low-dropout transmitter output stage and anonboard dual charge pump to allow RS232 and RS485/422 performance from a +3V to+5.5V supply. It also features pin-selectable transmitter slew rates for bothRS232 and RS485/422 modes. Slew-rate limiting minimizes EMI and reducesreflections caused by improperly terminated cables allowing error-free datatransmission up to 250Kbps.
