Product OverviewThe MAX3188EEUT+T is a ±15KV ESD protected, single RS232 transmitter in 6 pinSOT-23 package. This device is suitable for space and cost constrainedapplications requiring minimal RS232 communications. It consumes only 150µA ofsupply current from ±4.5V to ±6V supplies. The shutdown input reduces currentconsumption to 1µA and forces transmitter output in to high impedance state. TheMAX3188E has data transmission rate up to 250Kbps. It is EIA/TIA-232 transmitterthat converts CMOS/TTL logic levels to RS232 compliant signals. The transmitteroutput is protected to ±15KV using IEC 1000-4-2 air gap discharge method to ±8KVusing IEC 1000-4-2 contact discharge method and to ±15KV per human body modelensuring strict compliance with international standards.
