Product OverviewThe MAX3311CUB+ is a 460kbps, 1µA supply current, RS232 compatible transceiverin 10 pin µMAX package. This transceiver has a proprietary low dropouttransmitter output stage enabling RS232 compatible operation from a +5V supplywith a single inverting charge pump. The transmitter is an inverting leveltranslator that converts CMOS logic levels to EIA/TIA-232 compatible levels andreceiver converts RS-232 signals to CMOS logic output levels. The invertingcharge pump provides a negative voltage from single +5V supply, it operates in adiscontinuous mode and requires a flying capacitor and a reservoir capacitor togenerate V- supply.
