Product OverviewThe MAX3485ESA+ is a slew-rate-limited Low-power Transceiver for RS-485/RS-422communication. Each part contains one driver and one receiver. The MAX3485feature slew-rate-limited drivers that minimize EMI and reduce reflectionscaused by improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data transmission atdata rates up to 10Mbps. Drivers are short-circuit current limited and areprotected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry thatplaces the driver outputs into a high-impedance state.
