Product OverviewThe MAX487ECSA+T is a ±15KV ESD protected, slew rate limited, low powerRS485/RS422 transceiver in 8 pin NSOIC package. This device is used as a lowpower transceiver for RS485 and RS422 communications in harsh environments. Thedriver output and receiver input is protected against ±15KV electro staticdischarge (ESD) shocks without latch-up. The reduced slew rate driver minimizesEMI and reduces reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, thusallowing error free data transmission up to 250Kbps.
