Product OverviewThe MAX7314AEG+ is an 18 port GPIO device with LED intensity control, interruptand hot insertion protection in 24 pin QSOP package. This I2C compatible serialinterfaced peripheral provides microprocessors with 16 I/O ports plus oneoutput-only port and one input-only port. Each I/O port can be individuallyconfigured as either an open-drain current sinking output rated at 50mA and 5.5Vor logic input with transition detection. The output-only port can be assignedas an interrupt output for transition detection. An 8bit PWM current control isbuilt in for all 17 output ports. A 4bit global control applies to all LEDoutputs and provides coarse adjustment of current from fully off to fully onwith 14 intensity steps in between Each output has independent blink timing withtwo blink phases. The MAX7314 supports hot insertion.
