Product OverviewThe MAX7325AEG+ from Maxim Integrated Products is an I2C port expander with 8push-pull and 8 open-drain I/Os in 24 pin QSOP package. This 2-wire serialinterfaced peripheral device has 16 I/O ports. Ports are divided into eightpush-pull outputs and eight I/Os with selectable internal pull-ups andtransition detection. Eight ports are push-pull outputs and eight I/Os may beused as a logic input or an open-drain output. All I/O ports configured asinputs are continuously monitored for state changes (transition detection).State changes are indicated by active-low INT output. The interrupt is latchedallowing detection of transient changes.
