The device contains cold junction compensation sensing and correction,digital controller, SPI compatible interface and associated control logic. It isdesigned to work in conjunction with an external microcontroller (µC) inthermostatic, process control or monitoring applications. The MAX31855K performscold junction compensation and digitizes the signal from K type thermocouplewith measuring temperature range of -200°C to +1350°C. The Thermocoupletemperature gain and offset error ((41.276µV/°C nominal sensitivity)) is ±2°C atT (thermocouple) = -200°C to +700°C, TA = -20°C to +85°C.
