This is a "S" type sophisticated thermocoupleto digital converter with a built-in 14bit analogue to digital converter (ADC)also contains cold junction compensation sensing and correction, a digitalcontroller, an SPI compatible interface (read only) and associated controllogic. The function of the thermocouple is to sense a difference in temperaturebetween two ends of the thermocouple wires and it has a signal-conditioninghardware to convert the thermocouple's signal into a voltage compatible with theinput channels of the ADC.
