McLaren M23 - Jody Scheckter - 1973 - Minichamps 1/18

Wonderful Minichamps model of Jody Scheckter's 1973 McLaren M23 in beautiful Yardley livery - surely the best looking M23!

Removable top deck to reveal engine detail and Jody in his cockpit.

Jody raced this McLaren five times in 1973 before swapping to Tyrrell. Jody ran as high as third in his first F1 race and led and nearly won his third.

This model now is rare as it was produced in limited numbers as a niche model. It is of interest to all South African F1 fans. Jody is still the only African to have won an F1 race and the championship (when he won the championship in 1979 with Ferrari).

The McLaren M23 was based on the Lotus 72 concept and was very successful, twice winning the World Championship in 1974 (Fittipaldi) and 1976 (James Hunt).

Very collectable and pretty. In mint condition and supplied in its original box also excellent.
