Lovely model of one of F1's best cars and a trail blazer in many ways - the McLaren MP4/2 - driven to the world championship in 1984; 1985 and 1986 by Lauda and Prost.
It was the first successful carbon-fibre F1 racecar - pioneered by its predecessor - the MP4/1. It was powered by the highly successful exquisite jewel-like TAG Turbo engine (developed by Porsche). It was also the first F! car to run with carbon-fibre brakes - a great advantage at the time. The car also won the constructors' championship twice.
This car started a McLaren hegemony that lasted until 1991.
This beautiful model has been upgraded with full Marlboro livery and is resplendent in classic fluorescent orange/red Marlboro colours. A very special addition to any collection.
In mint condition and supplied in the original show box - also in perfect condition - still in its shrink wrap!
Imported and from my personal private collection.
