Offered for sale is a fine and attractive studio glass vase made for Mdina glassworks on the island of Malta. The design is attributed to the founder and chief glassmaker/designer Michael Harris and this item probably dates to the 1970's. The vase is signed on the base with the studio name Mdina and a serial number which probably refers to the form/shape and pattern. The design is eye catching and resembles the distinctive jewel like eyelets of a male peacock feather train ; the colours are subtle combinations of sea green , sage, cobalt blue and amber. The vase has a simple bulbous barrel shape with a polished pontil mark on the base.
Postage is R100 via Postnet; R120 for Courier Guy; alternatively collection is welcome from Emmerantia Jhb.
