Meccano Clockwork Tractor

Clockwork Meccano Tractor with rotating implement for potato harvesting. This model is built around a Meccano clockwork motor. It is self driving when wound up and also has a functional steering mechanism. The wheels on the implement drive the harvesting wheel in a circular motion. It first appeared in Meccano manuals in 1930 for the 7 set which was the biggest set of the time, equivalent to the later set 10. This model accurately represents a tractor and farming implement of the day. It is built with parts from the 50's that are in good to mint condition. The tyres are period correct.
