Meccano Set 5 in dark blue and yellow. This set was produced in 1978. It is complete in terms of parts, instruction manual as well as the sticker sheet. Parts are in good condition, a good part of them being mint. A big attraction for this set is the inclusion of an electric motor that can be battery driven.This set is for the more serious Meccano model builder or for a Meccano builder who wants a set with a big range of parts. The dark blue strips and yellow plates was arguably the best colour combination manufactured by Meccano.
