MeCool KM9 Pro Media Player 4k Ultra HD Android 10.0 Google Certified TV Box – DSTV Now, Showmax – Built-in ChromeCast

This Media Player is Google Certified and supports Widevine Level 1 DRM (Digital Rights Management) required by apps such as DSTV Now, Showmax and some other online streaming apps. It features a built-in Chromecast to wireless cast from your mobile phone or Tablet directly to the HDTV or Projector this media player is connected to.

It supports DSTV Now, Kodi, Hulu and most Online streaming apps requiring Google Certified device status out of the box.

Sideloading Netflix

NOTE!! If you install Netflix and a version incompatibility pop-up when Netflix launched please follow the instructions below to sideload a Netflix Compatible version.

1. Download Netflix .Apk on a PC or Notebook from Netflix 4.16 APK Installer
2. Copy the file to a USB Flash Drive and Insert the USB Flash Drive in The KM9 Pro Media Player USB port.
3. Launch the APP FX (File Explorer) which is pre-installed on the KM9 Pro Media Player from the Apps menu.
4. Go through the initial setup for the file explorer if not configured yet by scrolling right a few times until setup is completed.
5. Click on USB Storage on the right on FX File Explorer
6. Click on the Netflix Icon (.APK File) and choose install to install Netflix from USB.
7. After installation Netflix can be launched and login with your account username/password
8. NOTE!! Netflix (EME Encrypted Media Extension) is not officially supported on this media player, but the sideload works well and any errors on Netflix cannot be supported by MECool on this player due to officially not certified for Netflix.

Alternative Newer Version Netflix Sideload (Tested on Android 10 firmware of KM9 Pro)

1. Install APKMirror (Beta) from Android Play Store on Media Player
2. Download the APKMirror Installation File at Netflix 7.49 APKMirror Build and copy file to root folder of a USB Drive or MicroSD Card. Insert the microSD card or USB Drive into the KM9 Pro Media Player and wait for it to mount.
3. Open Sideload Launcher on the Media Player –> Choose File Explorer App –> Browse to USB/SDCard File System –> Choose die .apkm file copied to the drive to install –> Choose “Open With” APKMirror (Beta) when prompted to install the file
4. Accept the default Media Player detection capabilities, example below, do not change anything, also allow “unknown sources” installation as per picture below proceed to install app.

6. Open Netflix App –> If Prompted to Update to newest version please cancel otherwise version might not be compatible and sideload needs to be redone.

7. Login and Stream!!

DSTV Now Login

When opening the DSTV Now App the user will get a verification code on-screen. Since AndroidTV OS does not use direct browsing services use your phone or PC to login to https://now.dstv.com/tv and enter the code shown. After code entered login with your DSTV Now Username/Email and Password.
