Medal for SA Military Veterans - (1) - "Hector Peterson medal"

An original SA Military Veterans medal - (1). I cannot find much information on this medal but it seems to have been presented to Former Liberation Forces veterans in South Africa. This one has the insert of a person carrying Hector Peterson - killed during the 16th June 1976 uprising. It seems there are three classes of the medals - see the others up for auction. The reverse shows that the medal originates from the Department of Military veterans. Never seen this medal before. Selling as is. Worthy of more research.
