The MED500X2 supports the very latest in Hard Drive Technology. The Built in Hard Drive Format utility will format the hard drive without the need for a PC. The X2 also gives basic support to Mac HFS + volume drives so now Mac users can also enjoy the Mede8er while retaining compatibility with existing equipment. The X2 is one of the first Media Players on the market to support the very latest 3TB Sata Hard Drives. The built in Hard Drive heat sink bracket assists in conducting heat from the Hard Drive in order to preserve a long and reliable lifespan of the Hard Drive.
